What We Do
Island Thrift serves the community of Ross University School of Medicine by offering a wide assortment of used medical texts and other quality merchandise at greatly discounted prices. We sell a little bit of everything, but primarily used medical books and electronic items. Most of our inventory is priced according to current trends on amazon.com, so in most cases, you can expect to pay the same low price.
Classically, students have had very few options in regards to where to buy their books and supplies. With limited luggage allowances, import taxes, and the expense of shipping things to Dominica, students often feel overwhelmed at the amount of debt they are accumulating. With all the stress of medical school and being away from home, students need something to lighten that burden. Island Thrift exists to do just that by selling necessary items to incoming students and buying quality items from departing students. In addition to medical texts, we sell used household items, small electronics, as well as “Island” necessities such as water filters, flashlights, and umbrellas. Such items will make your time here more comfortable and ease your journey towards becoming a physician.
Location
Island Thrift is located in New York.
